For the CO₂ calculation various parameters and models are used.
If the origin is not stored in your system on the supplier item as one of the parameters, we automatically look up the import statistics to Germany for the goods. These statistics are very well maintained because of the import tax. The estimation thus has an error, but it is not too big for most goods, because the transport in total causes only 4-6% of the total emissions. In individual cases, where we would also have to accept airplane imports because of the import and it therefore makes more of a difference, we actually clarify the origin with you more precisely afterwards.
